So it looks like these school holidays will have to be spent at home. One of the best things to do with the kids is to bake... Not only will this keep everyone busy and entertained, but there will be a delicious treat for all to enjoy at the end! Baking can also be a great way for kids to learn new vocabulary and cooking skills.

We’ve found some fun recipes to try out these school holidays. They are easy to make with basic, staple ingredients you probably have at home already. And they’re delicious too!

Edible Cookie Dough
Everybody loves eating raw cookie dough, right? Some even prefer it to baked cookies! However, you shouldn’t eat cookie dough, because it contains raw eggs which may contain bacteria like Salmonella. But this cookie dough is egg free - so everybody can lick the bowl, risk free!

Homemade granola
Homemade granola is so much healthier and tastier than granola and cereal from the supermarket. It’s really easy to add any nuts, seeds or dried fruits you may have at home to the recipe. You can have this for breakfast or use it to make granola bars.

Date Balls
Date balls are an easy, no-bake treat that are fun to make. This date ball recipe only needs 5 ingredients to make. Dates contain natural sugars and are high in fibre, so these are a great healthy but sweet snack.

Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut Muffins
A cross between a doughnut and a muffin - these are sweet, fluffy and perfect for teatime.

A perfect quick, chocolatey treat with hardly any cleaning up required.

Pizza Dough
This pizza dough recipe only needs 3 ingredients. Everybody can shape their pizza base how they wish, and add whatever toppings you have at home.
