Our immune boosters can be a quick and effective way to support your immune system and keep you healthy. They may be small but they pack a lot of nutritional benefits! Wondering how? Let’s look at the benefits of their carefully selected ingredients.

The Greens, Ginger and Chia Booster

This immune booster contains cold-pressed spinach juice, ginger, chia seeds and cardamom.

Why cold-pressed juice?

Not all juices are made equally. When most juices are made, some heat is produced which destroys some of the nutrients, like important vitamins and enzymes. However, cold-pressed juices are made using a different method which doesn’t produce any heat so all of the nutrients are preserved.

Cold-pressed spinach juice

Popeye was right - spinach is really good for us. Spinach juice is almost a concentrated, nutritionally dense form of spinach with many proven health benefits. It’s high in antioxidants and many vitamins, like vitamin A and C which are important for immune function.

Ginger

Fresh ginger gives this immune booster more than just a delicious zesty flavour - it is a very healthy spice too. Ginger has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. Ginger is rich in antioxidants and can help reduce inflammation. Some of the antioxidants, called gingerols, have antimicrobial properties and can help fight infections.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are a very popular superfood. They are a good source of several important minerals and vitamins, as well as fibre and omega-3 fatty acids. When they are soaked in the juice, they absorb water and swell up, which makes them easier for your body to digest and the nutrients will be better absorbed into your body. Their soluble fibre helps support the beneficial bacteria in your gut, which helps your immune system.

Cardamom

Cardamom is a spice that has also been used in traditional medicine in many cultures. It contains some compounds that have shown antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, including those supportive of a healthy immune system.

Turmeric, Citrus & Cider Zinger

This immune booster contains cold-pressed carrot juice, garlic, apple cider vinegar, honey, cumin seeds, turmeric, cayenne, cinnamon.

Cold-pressed carrot juice

Carrot juice is an excellent source of vitamins, nutrients, and fibre, and antioxidants like vitamin C for immunity. It has many health-promoting properties.

Garlic

We know that garlic is delicious in cooked dishes, but raw garlic has some impressive health benefits: for example, it helps protect against colds and flu.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is made from the fermented juice of apples. It’s a popular home remedy for colds for several reasons. It’s very acidic which means it can kill some pathogens, and it contains antioxidants and vitamin C.

Spices

This booster contains a mix of powerful spices: cumin seeds, turmeric, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. Spices add flavours, colours, and aromas to food, but they also have medicinal uses and have been used for centuries for their powerful therapeutic properties.

Honey

Honey’s sweetness helps balance out the acidic taste of apple cider vinegar in this booster. As a natural sweetener and healthier alternative to refined sugar, as it has some health benefits.
