The Veggie Way of Life

The Veggie Way of Life

  • 19 January 2018
Have you ever thought about adopting the vegetarian lifestyle?

There are many types of vegetarians. These include ovo-lacto-vegetarians, pescatarians, lacto-vegetarians, ovo-vegetarians and vegans.
At Daily Dish, our vegetarian menu is based on the diet of ovo-lacto-vegetarians, which means that we avoid using the flesh of any animals (meat or fish) in our dishes, but we incorporate the use of eggs and dairy products.

Ovo-lacto-vegetarians need to think very carefully about the meals they put together for themselves, to make sure that they meet all their nutritional requirements. This means they have to get creative in the kitchen, experiment with a whole bunch of interesting fruits, veggies, legumes and wholegrains, and make something other than a piece of steak, bacon, chicken or fish the hero of the dish.

Sound a bit tricky?

With more and more people becoming interested in the veggie way of life and all the benefits that it has to offer, you can rest assured that it won’t be a struggle to adopt this lifestyle at all! At Daily Dish we make it our mission to create exciting, colourful, flavourful, hearty and healthy vegetarian dishes that will inspire you to stick to this way of life and perhaps create a few delicious veggie dishes of your own. Just pop around to our veggie menu and feast your eyes!
