Solo: Ginger & Sesame Pork

Pork stir-fry with a drizzle of sesame oil, lime juice, zest and bean sprouts.

Ingredients to serve 1

  • ¼ x lime
  • 125g x pork stroganoff
  • 10g x ginger – peel & chop finely
  • ½ clove x garlic – peel, grate finely & chop
  • ¾ tbsp x soy sauce
  • ¼ x fresh chilli – slice thinly
  • ½ tbsp x sesame seeds
  • ¼ head x broccoli – cut into florets
  • 100g x green beans – remove ends & cut in half
  • 25g x red spinach
  • ½ tsp x sesame oil
  • 10g x bean sprouts
  • olive oil (from your pantry)
  • salt & black pepper (from your pantry)


Step 1

Preparation: Prepare all ingredients as indicated above.

Step 2

Lime: Using the fine side of a box grater, grate the skin of the lime to create zest. Then cut in half and juice. Set aside.

Step 3

Pork stir-fry: In a large bowl, mix the pork stroganoff with the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, chilli and sesame seeds. Season with a few cracks of black pepper. Place a large frying pan on high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. When hot, add the pork stroganoff and cook for 30 seconds. Add the broccoli, green beans and a splash of water. Cover with a lid or a plate and cook for 2 minutes until the pork is cooked through and the vegetables are done, but with a slight bite. Add the red spinach and cook for 1 minute until wilted.

Step 4

Serve the pork stir-fry with a drizzle of sesame oil, lime juice and salt and pepper to taste. Top with the bean sprouts and lime zest.
