Method

Before You Begin

Prepare your ingredients & cooking utensils: Use a chopping board and lay all the ingredients out. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil for use in Step 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C - Optional - See Gino's Tip

Washing Instruction

Wash your hands well. Rinse our swiss chard thoroughly and drain on paper towel.

Gino's Tip

If your pan is big enough for all your steaks; you can add your steaks to the pan, add your tomato sauce, cover with cheese, place on a lid and simmer on low for 2-3 minute until your sauce is hot and cheese is gooey.

Step 1 - Penne Pasta

Cook your penne pasta in your large saucepan of salted, boiling water for 10-12 minutes until "al dente". Drain through a colander once done and reserve for Step 3.

Step 2 - Mozzarella Steak

Season your sirloin steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a large frying pan over med-high heat, and once your pan is hot and just about smoking, add a drizzle of olive oil and sear your steaks on each side for 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a medium baking dish. Now heat your DailyDish Chunky Tomato Sauce along with your tomato paste in the microwave until warmed through - be sure to mix, taste and season before continuing. Top your steaks with your tomato sauce and grated mozzarella and pop into your preheated oven for 2-3 minutes until your sauce is hot and bubbly and cheese is gooey.

Step 3 - Garlicky Penne Pasta

Give your large saucepan a quick clean and place it back on the stove over med-high heat once your penne pasta is cooked. Add your butter and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes before adding your shredded swiss chard and cooking for 2-3 minutes until wilted. Lastly add your penne pasta, mixing it through and tasting and seasoning with salt and pepper. Remove your pan from the heat once your penne has heated through and sprinkle over your grated parmesan.

To serve

Divide your garlicky penne amongst your servings and top with your mozzarella steak and sauce. Enjoy!
