Sedros Smoky Tuna Bake

This family inspired tuna and smoky paprika bake is a good way to get in all the nutritious goodness with all the flavoursome glory.




Ingredients to serve 2

  • 1 tin x Tuna - drained
  • ½ x Red Onion - diced
  • 2 cloves x Garlic - chopped
  • 2g x Dried Mix Herbs
  • 5g x Smoked Paprika
  • 1 x Green Pepper - diced
  • 200ml x DD Puttanesca Base
  • 125ml x Cream
  • 150g x Conchiglie Pasta Shells
  • 100g x Grated White Cheddar
  • 5g x Chives - chopped
  • Salt and Pepper (from your pantry)
  • Olive Oil (from your pantry)

  • 2 tins x Tuna - drained

  • 10g x Smoked Paprika
  • 2 x Green Pepper - diced
  • 400ml x DD Puttanesca Base
  • 250ml x Cream
  • 300g x Conchiglie Pasta Shells
  • 200g x Grated White Cheddar
  • 10g x Chives - chopped
  • Salt and Pepper (from your pantry)
  • Olive Oil (from your pantry)

Method

Before You Begin

Prepare your ingredients & cooking utensils: Use a chopping board and lay all the ingredients out. Take out any “Pantry Items”. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil for use in step 1. Preheat your oven to grill - during step 2.

Washing Instruction

Wash your hands and green peppers well. Rinse your chives thoroughly and drain on paper towel.

Gino's Tip

Please be attentive when grilling, it starts off slowly and then gratinates quickly so keep a watchful eye out for any singeing or burning.

Step 1 - Conchiglie Pasta Shells

Once your water in your large saucepan has come to the boil cook your pasta for 10-12 minutes until "al dente" - tender with a slight bite. Drain through a colander once done.

Step 2 - Smoky Tuna Bake

Heat a large casserole pan over med-high heat, add a drizzling of olive oil and saute your diced red onions, chopped garlic and dried mix herbs until soft and translucent. Now add your, diced green peppers and cook for 3-4 minutes before adding your drained tuna and paprika. Allow to heat through then add your DailyDish Puttanesca Base and cream and cook for 1-2 minutes until all your flavours have melded. Lastly, add your cooked conchiglie pasta shells, taste and season then transfer to a baking dish, top with your grated white cheddar and pop under the grill until your cheese has become gooey and gratinated.

TO SERVE

Divide your smoky tuna bake amongst your servings finishing by sprinkling over your chopped chives.
