Method
Before You Begin
Prepare your ingredients & cooking utensils: Use a chopping board and lay all the ingredients out. Take out any “Pantry Items”. Preheat your oven to 220°C.
Washing Instruction
Wash your hands, baby marrows, green beans and cherry tomatoes well. Rinse your chives thoroughly and drain on paper towel.
Gino's Tip
If you are looking to cut down on saturated fat intake, trim any excess fat off the meat prior to cooking it. You can also place the cooked meat on a paper towel after cooking, to absorb any excess fat.
Step 1 - Roasted Veggies with Pickled Onions
Heat a large casserole pan over medium-high heat, once your pan is hot but not smoking, add a drizzle of olive oil and sear your baby marrow half-moons, in batches, for 1-2 minutes.
Transfer to an oven tray and add your trimmed green beans, cherry tomatoes and crushed garlic. Pop in the oven for 8-10 minutes until your green beans and baby marrows are tender and your cherry tomatoes have softened.
Once done, sprinkle over your DailyDish Pickled Onion and chopped chives. Reserve to serve.
Step 2 - Seared Steak
Season your steak with salt and pepper. Heat a frying pan over med-high heat, once your pan is hot but not smoking, add a drizzle of olive oil and fry your steak for 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to desired doneness. Remove your pan from the heat, once done.
To Serve
Place your roasted veggies with pickled onions on the plate. Drizzle over your DailyDish Blue Cheese Dressing and serve with your seared steak.
